Hi, I’m Dr Cindi, and I’m so glad you’re here! I’ve been working in the veterinary field for over 25 years, and caring for animals has truly been the heart of my life’s work. Growing up in Alaska instilled in me a deep love of nature, adventure, and a passion for maintaining and supporting the incredible bond between people and their pets.
For nearly 15 years, I’ve called Steamboat Springs home, and I feel grateful every day to live and work in such a special community. I provide mobile veterinary care, which allows me to meet pets where they’re most comfortable — right at home. My goal is to provide thoughtful, personalized veterinary care that helps your pets live their happiest and healthiest lives.

Dr. Hillemeyer brings over 25 years of veterinary experience and a passion for making pets comfortable and healthy in their own homes. As a proud member of the AVMA, CVMA, and local search and rescue team, she combines clinical expertise with a warm, down-to-earth approach that families love and trust.
Our Approach to Emergencies
While not a full-service hospital and unable to provide emergency care, urgent cases may be assessed on a case-by-case basis when availability allows. Same- or next-day visits are often possible. Dr. Hillemeyer can also assist with referrals to emergency clinics or specialty hospitals located 3 to 4 hours away. For routine care, advanced scheduling is strongly encouraged to ensure timely service.
